This past weekend I ran the Northgate 5km race at 7:30 am.
I finished in a time of 18 minutes and 25 seconds which placed me in the top 10 overall.
When I ran the race I honestly thought my legs are capable of carrying me to 5 kilometres and I was right but I was wrong about my cardiovascular system, it just was not strong enough to carry me through the whole 5 kilometre with the speed I was running.
Overall I really enjoy myself because I got to meet a lot of people that I haven't seen in a long time and I got to test my speed and now I know what I need to do to get even better.
