Diary of a Runner: Ramadan Mubarak

As a Muslim this past 24 days I have been fasting with my family.

Ramadan is the holy month for Muslims where they fast for 30 days, so during the day we do not eat or drink anything. We are able to eat before we start fasting in the morning and after we break fast in the evening.

We work on the system where we starting fasting before sun rise and break fast after sunset. There is a calendar that tells us the specific times.

While fasting I have not been running because I know my body and I know that it will not be strong enough to last the whole day without eating or drinking if I run.
