Diary of a Runner: Why now!!

As a runner being sick is one of the worst things to happen to us and sadly that's what happened to me. That's not even the sad part, the sad part is that I got it at the beginning of the year during the busiest time of year for me in terms of training and racing.

On Tuesday is when all of this started, it started with a sore throat which got better on Wednesday and with my throat getting better I get a running nose and phlegm in my chest instead of it going away.

I am taking it day by day, by not doing physical activity because I do not want it to get worse by provoking it by exercising.

What I would of been doing instead of sitting at home is training a lot because I have two big races this month which is Johnson Crane 21 kilometre and Krugersdorp 15 kilometre night race but the positive thing I am taking from this is that I am getting rest and giving myself time to get a game plan for the two races. #SheraazRuns   #DiaryofaRunner
