I ran my first 10km road race for the year at Makiti on Friday and Saturady I ran Park Run at Hartebeesport Dam because we where on hoilday there...
The 10km race went very well for me because I placed 8th overall and 4th junior and I ran it in 38 mins. Review on the route: the route was not to difficult because there wasn't any steep hills. There was short ups and downs (very manageable) with lots of flats.
The next day we went at Hartebeestport Parkrun. The start and the middle of the race went well but when it came to the last kilometre I was in 4th place. The people in front of me cut the last 600m but I ran the last 600m. The people in front of me finished in around 18mins and I finished in 19min. When I got to the finish I confronted the people that organised the race and they said they will speak to them and that's what they did but I still was placed 4th. Which is unfair because it was not a fair run.
I am all for fair race but if they never cut I would of accepted it but they did cut and they got away with it. Which for me is unacceptable Parkrun!! #WeekendRound-Up #SheraazRuns
